Woven in 7mm whenu with short handles
The opportunity to learn raranga came in 2021 - at a time when I was starting to think about a major change in my life. I saw it as a tohu and so the learning began and the changes came.
I weave to heal, to connect to Te Ao Māori, to bring matauranga that has been lost back to my whānau, and to explore expression of who I am through creativity.
When people connect to that and find pleasure in the pieces I create, it's magic! I'm still learning and evolving and it's exciting to be challenged and to keep growing. Who knows what's next!
