After a decade spent working and  travelling overseas, learning rongoa under  the expertise of Tohe Ashby brought me back to the place I was raised, Moerewa.
   

I wanted to harness the healing properties so abundantly provided by Papatuanuku, and make a natural balm that I was happy to use on my children, myself and my extended whanau. This was my driving force. Using wild-picked Kawakawa that grows beautifully in my back yard, certified organic calendula and comfrey root, combined with NZ beeswax, Awaken Therapies balms are simple but effective. Very effective. I have customers who have tried everything for eczema and psoriasis and finally found relief in these balms.

 

Now located in Ngunguru on the Tutukaka Coast of Whangarei, surrounded by breathtaking scenery and soul soothing ocean, I  feel this sense of peace transfers into my products.
