Collection: Shayillustrate

Kia Ora, I am Shayana aka Shay of shayillustrate.

I am from Taranaki in the small regional town of New Plymouth. I am a full time mother to my two tamariki and also spend a lot of time illustrating.

I am part Maori/European but going back through my ancestry I also have Hawaiian and Scottish heritage. My children are half Samoan and my sisters family is Tongan. No wonder why I have such a passion for our Polynesian Whanau! I have always been surrounded by Pacifica culture and traditions and this is what I love to showcase with my art.

Drawing is definitely a pathway that I have always wanted to pursue but have always had obstructions and mentally was not in the right place until NOW. I am ready now to put my ideas to paper (or iPad so to speak) and share with you all the beauty of the Pacific. Hopefully my pieces will spark something special for you or at least give you a breath of fresh air.
