100% knitted cotton.
The original designs name is Hahana, meaning to glow or feel warmth. When I think of our Paraikete I see warmth coming from the paraikete to everyone who wears/touches and sees it.
Kotahitanga was given to this specific blanket and design/colour because of the timing around its launch, it coincided with the passing of our Kingi, an extremely emotional time for our people, but also a time of greatness and hope for the future with the crowning of our Kuini.
This paraikete signifies such a special milestone and that’s why the name is Kotahitanga.
